Often in the fall, couples gravitate toward warm hues. But for Rachelle and Brian, they were drawn to classic fall wedding in whites with touches of blue. The touches of blue featured throughout, from bridesmaid dresses to flowers. For Rachelle’s bouquet, the floral palette consisted of garden roses, stock, lisianthus and dahlias, accented with champagne toned Quicksand roses and light blue delphinium. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were similar, accented with brown scabiosa pods for a touch of fall texture.
With a slight fall chill in the air. the gorgeous October wedding day begin at Dahlgren chapel. A simple altar piece of white hydrangea, gladiola, snapdragons, and roses, accented with light blue delphinium, were created for this gorgeous and simple chapel located at the heart of Georgetown University. It is a popular place to wed for our couples who attended or met at Georgetown.
For the reception, low centerpieces in shades of cream and ivory were accented with light blues and brown, similar to the bridal bouquet. Built in bronzed ceramic footed bowls, the centerpieces had a warm, rustic fall feel, but with a classic twist. Scabiosa pods added that touch of fall texture to remind the guests of the chill in the air. The bride and groom, who met at Georgetown, used locations on campus as their table names for a personal touch.
