A winter wedding at Brentsville Hall was the perfect backdrop for Daryn and Kelsey’s celebration—a stunning mix of romance, moodiness, and lush florals. As a Virginia wedding florist, we adored bringing their vision to life, balancing deep, dramatic hues with soft candlelight and abundant greenery.
Brentsville Hall is a hidden gem for Virginia weddings, offering a blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. The venue offers vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and expansive windows on the upper level that bring in natural light. The surrounding grounds provide a picturesque backdrop for ceremonies and photography, with lush greenery and charming historic buildings adding to its timeless appeal.
Daryn and Kelsey each carried a unique bouquet, reflecting their individual styles while complementing one another beautifully. Kelsey carried a bouquet of white anemone, eggplant mini-calla lilies, Amnesia roses, and Keira garden roses finished with eucalyptus foliage. The tones complemented her dusty blue dress perfectly. Daryn wore a sleek, white dress and carried a lush, textured bouquet of blush garden roses, dark purple and variegated purple scabiosa and ranunculus, brownie lisianthus, Amnesia roses and eucalyptus foliage – a winter-inspired color palette that was at once romantic and rustic.
For the ceremony, candles of varying heights lined the aisle, casting a warm glow as Daryn and Kelsey made their way toward their vows. The ceremony decor remained simple, with a black backdrop adorned with twinkle lights standing behind them.
For the reception, the tables would split between two designs. Round tables received tablescapes of glass-enclosed pillar candles of varying heights, while a canopy of smilax and suspended glass globes with LED votives created a dreamlike effect above the long reception tables. The floating greenery hedges added height and dimension, while black and deep purple taper candles completed the moody aesthetic. A lush garland of greenery accented the sweetheart table, finished with an array of wedding blooms.
Floral arrangements were lush yet intentional, featuring a mix of seasonal greens and blooms in sophisticated shades. Every design choice—from the elevated floral hedges to the ring of greenery surrounding candlelit centerpieces—reflected the couple’s desire for a winter wedding that felt both intimate and dramatic.
