On a warm summer day, the former Trump Hotel’s Townhouse was transformed from a mere luxury suite to the site of an intimate wedding ceremony and reception. Catherine and Matt began their day taking photos around DC, dressed in their wedding day finest. Unlike a typical wedding day, many surrounding streets were closed for anticipated marches (or on second though, maybe that *is* typical for DC…). We took extra pains to make sure all the flowers were delivered early and ensure no delays for their Trump Hotel wedding. Given all the challenges of the year, we would say the day came together like a dream.
With a beautiful summer palette for the florals, the design encompassed chic, timeless and gardenesque all in one. Their Trump Hotel wedding featured touches of rich burgundy, from mini-calla lilies to peonies, contrasted with the romantic blush and ivory hues that comprised the majority of the florals. Soft green eucalyptus was used to accent the bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces. The bouquet had a classic flower-forward design with loose touches of foliage creating an organic shape that gave a hint of the unexpected.
The ceremony took place in the townhouse living room, in front of a natural alcove draped in rich blue. The Trump Hotel wedding had shades of intimacy as it had a very “home” feel while also being very elegant.
How do you combine chic and garden, you might ask? Chic crystal candelabra with gold taper candles graced the center of the long table for the Trump Hotel wedding. Interspersed between the crystal candelabra were elegant, gold rimmed vases. Each vase was filled with a rich design of hydrangea, roses, calla lilies and eucalyptus in soft and romantic blush and ivory blooms and that hint of a rich and dramatic burgundy.
We wish Catherine and Matt all the best in their new marriage together!
