Tropical vibes at St Francis Hall and this wedding is hot, Hot, HOT!!! Is there anything better than a sharp wedding party in rich jewel-toned greens paired with tropical blooms and foliage? We think not, and Camille and Corwin’s wedding is here to show how it’s done.
It’s not a popular wedding bloom, but we jump for joy any time we get to use anthuriums. Native to Central America, northern South America, and the Caribbean, anthuriums are unique for their heart-shaped waxy blooms. They created the perfect modern balance of clean line and shape in Camille’s cascading bouquet, paired with white mini- and open cut calla lilies, white dendrobium orchids, and deep green ruscus foliages. And Corwin was ever the dapper gentleman with a complementing white mini-calla lily for his boutonniere. Rounding out the wedding party, each of the bridesmaids carried must simpler bouquets of white anthurium backed with petite monstera leaves.
The tropical vibes at St Francis Hall continued for the ceremony as the bride and her father entered through the tables, which were set for the reception. (It had rained for the ceremony and the logistics of the space and time made this set up the best choice.) Dramatic modern foliage centerpieces – alternating between sleek modern glass vases holding simple stems of monstera, philodendron, and areca palm fronds, gold geometric teardrop terrarium with candles, and dramatic heart-shaped colocasia or elephant ear leaves in tall glass pilsner vases – added to the drama of the ceremony aisle and transitioned seamlessly to the reception.
It was such a pleasure working with Camille and Corwin to realize their special day, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness!
