Designed for Basil Hayden, and proof that sometimes the most interesting thing you can put in a floral arrangement isn’t a flower.

There’s just something about St. Francis Hall.
Maybe it’s the brick. Maybe it’s the windows. Maybe it’s those twinkle lights that somehow make every wedding feel a little bit magical.
For Erin & Joel`s wedding, we loved the contrast of all that warm architecture with cool blues, crisp whites and lots of greenery. Nothing fighting the room. Nothing trying too hard. Just really pretty flowers in a really wonderful space.
And honestly, we could design here a hundred times and still get excited walking through those doors.

An outdoor ceremony followed by a beautiful ballroom reception? The St. Regis makes a very persuasive case.
The Astor Terrace and Astor Ballroom give us two different settings to consider, and I love finding the floral thread between them. A color carried through. A favorite flower appearing again. A shape that feels familiar when guests move inside. You get the excitement of a new space, with flowers that feel like they belong to the same celebration.
Those connections are some of my favorite parts of wedding design, and for Katie and Doug, I love how they went a step further with incorporating hand painted ceramics form Katie`s homeland.
