December has been a whirlwind. Weddings. Holiday parties. Installing holiday décor around town. The kind of month where the days blur and the studio never quite sleeps.
But one of the most meaningful moments has come through our involvement with Wish Upon a Wedding, an organization that grants weddings and vow renewals to couples facing serious illness or life-altering circumstances.
At the Citizen Ballroom, we helped bring Tiffianni & Minerva’s vow renewal to life. Their vision was unapologetically floral. A sweeping staircase installation layered in greenery. Flowers in saturated shades of fuchsia and purple. A lush deconstructed floral arch that framed their vows and later their sweetheart table. Tables glowed with flowers, candles, and lamps. The temperature may have been in the teens outside but inside was only warmth and light rooted in love.
We began this year donating flowers to laid-off federal employees and end it celebrating Tiffianni & Minerva. Because this year hasn’t just been about decorating spaces. It’s about lifting spirits with flowers and helping to mark moments in meaningful ways.

It`s our fa-la-la favorite time of year for a wedding, and Gabrielle & John’s celebration at the Sulgrave Club did not disappoint. ✨🌲
With the room dressed in winter greens, candlelight, and just the right amount of seasonal sparkle, the space felt timeless rather than themed. Classic architecture, evergreen touches, and soft white and burgundy florals created a setting that honored the season without overpowering it.

Lighting candles early always gets a look. 👀
But twelve-hour tapers do exactly what they’re meant to do: glow all night and then some. By the end of the evening, we’re still clearing candles with plenty of life left in them.

The enchanting aroma of evergreens currently permeating the studio is taking us back to Kristin & Billy’s magical winter wedding at Elkridge Furnace Inn. Between the evergreen touches in the bouquets to the elevated evergreen installation suspended above the head table (and finished with the twinkle of hanging votives) it was the kind of winter magic that feels both timeless and quietly spectacular, wrapping the room in warmth, glow and that unmistakable feeling of celebration.
