Alexandra and Brian married on a beautiful June day at River Farm. The summer wildflower River Farm wedding was truly intimate and filled with personal touches. It was especially wonderful for us to provide day of event management in addition to the flowers as the bride’s father is our landlord Charley Varipapa’s brother! The vision for the wedding was understated with a palette of pastel wildflowers. Alexandra’s bouquet featured a mix of light pink stock and astilbe, light blue delphinium, craspedia, solidago, purple lisianthus and touches of lavender and mint. A circlet of light pink wax flower was fashioned for Alexandra’s hair. Brian wore a boutonniere of light blue delphinium and light pink astilbe. The wedding party was similarly intimate, kept to family cousins and Alexandra and Brian’s daughter, who wore a matching crown of light pink wax flower. The three flower girls wore crowns of light blue delphinium, white lisianthus, light pink astilbe, and accents of lavender.
The ceremony took place in front of the large tree at River Farm. A stunning arch served as the focal point for the ceremony, designed using curly willow branches and salal, delphinium, stock, lisianthus, solidago, astilbe, spray roses, and Queen Anne’s lace in shades of pale pink, light blue, cream, purple and white. The ceremony was officiated by a family friend from their years at Episcopal High School.
For the reception, two long tables featured an eclectic mix of milk glass, depression glass and blue mason jars filled with a palette of pastel wildflowers. Individually inscribed place cards directed people to their seats.
A great night was had by all! Congratulations Alexandra and Brian, and thank you for letting us be a part of your summer wildflower River Farm wedding day.
