Spring Wedding at Congressional Country Club

Spring Wedding at Congressional Country Club

A spring wedding at Congressional Country Club is the thing of dreams. The venue is always a beautiful and stately place, with its unique architecture and beautifully appointed reception spaces, particularly when the weather cooperates. It was a beautiful, early spring day for Sarah and Nate’s wedding on the terrace overlooking the historic golf course, with the reception in the grand ballroom. We really love working with our Congressional couples!

Sarah carried a simple, elegant bouquet of white mini-calla lilies, in keeping with her gorgeous and clean lines of her dress. For the bridesmaids, simple bouquets of tulips in shades of light pink and white accented with green-white parrot tulips complimented their red dresses perfectly.

For the ceremony, flowers in soft pinks and whites sat in low floor standing urns overlooking the golf course.  The colors were punched up for the reception, adding a dramatic touch of hot pink to the whites and lighter pinks.  Soft, classic, romantic flowers such as roses, stock, spray roses and hydrangea were featured in the arrangements. As guests progressed to the ballroom for the spring Congressional Country Club wedding reception, centerpieces were equally vivid and colorful, with deep pink hydrangea, light pink stock, and ivory roses, with green-white parrot tulips and pink sweet pea adding a touch of for a spring Congressional Country Club wedding.

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
