A Disco Dream in Hot Pink

This wasn’t your average rooftop mixer—the Scout Guide Alexandria launch party for Volume 8 at Above ALX was a masterclass in extra. Think hot pink everything, shimmer from every corner, and installations that turned heads all night. The vibe? Disco glam meets floral fantasy.

We were thrilled to team up with the always-stylish Scout Guide crew to bring bold blooms and design details to life—florals that didn’t whisper elegance, but shouted “let’s dance.”

Our Floral Design Approach

Working with a strong color story of hot pinks, blush, and silver, we created pieces that balanced high-impact drama with thoughtful design. Some of our favorites:

  • A floating curtain of carnations in pink shades, glimmering with mini disco balls and anchoring the Scout Guide logo display

  • Statement arrangements of dyed pink baby’s breath, turquoise plumosa, pink pampas, and roses—perfectly styled for the rooftop space

  • Cocktail florals in silver-ringed vases, filled with hot pink hydrangea and vibrant spring textures

  • Suspended installations over the outdoor bar area, designed to glow under the ambient rooftop lighting

From playful textural contrast to unexpected color pairings, each design choice was made to heighten the party’s festive, otherworldly energy.

When Branding Becomes an Experience

More than a celebration, the Scout Guide Alexandria launch party was a full-blown expression of community, creativity, and collaboration. Every element—visual, floral, culinary—was a love letter to Alexandria’s vibrant small business scene.

As a business proudly featured in Volume 8, we loved designing florals that felt larger-than-life while still connected to the Scout Guide’s aesthetic values: bold individuality, elevated presentation, and local connection.

The Takeaway?

Brand parties can do more than look good—they can feel like an experience. With the right florals, even a rooftop can feel like another world.

If you’re planning a launch, mixer, or content-driven event, we’d love to help you design floral moments that go beyond the expected.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.

A night of mystery and masquerade — and the perfect way to fête the 10th anniversary of The Scout Guide Alexandria and the launch of Vol. 10! ✨

We loved adding our signature touch of floral drama to this year’s launch party at the Hotel Heron. From a moody and dramatic entrance piece to a flower-filled car, sculptural arrangements on cocktail tables and elevated bar arrangements casting feathered shadows and moody textures, this event let us play in a world of whimsy and wonder.

We’re proud to be part of a guide that champions small businesses and celebrates creativity in our community. Supporting local means investing in the makers, doers, and dreamers who make Alexandria vibrant — and The Scout Guide does just that, beautifully. Cheers to Vol. 10! Special thanks to Sarah and Claire for always being so supportive and encouraging.
