Rustic Wedding at Woodend

Rustic Wedding at Woodend

Amber and Micah’s rustic wedding at Woodend, just outside Washington, DC, was a beautiful, bohemian celebration of love with rustic floral details throughout. For their simple outdoor ceremony, Amber carried an elegant, French hand-tied bouquet in a classic but ethereal palette of white, accented with touches of purple, lavender and green. Lavender scabiosa, purple stock, and lavender peeked out from a spray of Queen Anne’s lace and was finished with seeded eucalyptus and Italian ruscus foliage, wrapped in a rustic twine, for a natural and organic feel.  Amber’s bridesmaids carried complementary bouquets for a cohesive and delicate look. Micah’s boutonnière featured a simple burst of lavender accented with seeded eucalyptus, while the remaining boutonnières were designed from a clutch of baby’s breath.

Ceremony in the Grove

A bountiful swag of wedding flowers in purple, white and green adorned the gorgeous welcome sign as guests arrived for the Woodend Sanctuary wedding.

Woodend Tented Reception

To highlight Woodend Sanctuary’s stunning fireplace, we added a long and low design showcasing a length of lemon leaf and ruscus garland accented with Queen Anne’s lace, purple larkspur, white and purple stock, and lavender scabiosa. Additional garlands were featured elsewhere in the reception, bringing even more organic beauty to the event. Amber’s and Micah’s reception was a warm and welcoming gathering, and seating guests at farm tables was the perfect arrangement. Each of the farm tables were graced with an elegant, deep green lemon leaf and ruscus garland, loosely accented with touches of stock and scabiosa in shades of purple, lavender and white. Another lush lemon leaf and Italian ruscus garland was draped over the happy couple’s head table and finished with sparing touches of stock and scabiosa in whites, lavenders and purples.

Congratulations to Amber and Micah on their exquisite wedding day and their wonderful marriage as well!

G is for greenery 🌿, L is for lush ✨… you get the idea!

When it comes to statement-making florals, a well-placed garland can do it all—elevate long tables, frame a ceremony aisle, or even drape around a fountain for that effortlessly chic look. Who said greenery was just filler? 💅

Industrial spaces have a beauty of their own, but the right floral design can take them from warehouse to urban garden. 🌿✨

For Laura & Michael’s Dock 5 wedding, we played with scale—tall magnolia branches to emphasize the height, lush florals to soften the space, and candlelight to add warmth. The result? An urban oasis that felt both grand and intimate.

1️⃣Go Big with Greenery – Tall magnolia branches brought height and movement to Laura & Michael’s Dock 5 wedding

2️⃣ Mix Textures – Lush, low floral arrangements softened the industrial edges while keeping the space dynamic

3️⃣ Layer Candlelight – Warm glows + metal details = a romantic urban oasis

4️⃣ Frame Key Spaces – A floral garland on the head table grounded the design and added intimacy. Trees flanking the table took it to the next level

5️⃣ Contrast is Key – Pairing the raw, industrial elements with soft florals and organic details created the perfect balance

Not all green and white floral palettes are created equal. This one here will NEVER go out of style and is truly as timeless as they come! Magnolia, eucalyptus, rosemary, and delicate touches of white… Add velvet linens and gold touches, and we’re smitten... 😍
