Ritz-Carlton DC Wedding with Chinoiserie
This past summer, the Petal’s Edge team, alongside Sara Muchnick of Sara Muchnick Events, designed and produced this stunning Ritz Carlton DC wedding with chinoiserie vases and an abundance of spirea and white and green summer blooms. The result was a fantastic mix of old and new, traditional meets modern.
A Classic Floral Palette
For Hannah, we designed a timelessly elegant, gardenesque bouquet in a palette ofΒ whites andΒ greens. The textured and tailored mix of blooms includedΒ white roses, mini-calla lilies, stock, freesia andΒ lisianthus, accented with greenΒ lady’s mantle and Italian ruscusΒ foliage. Joshβs simple and refined boutonniere showcased aΒ white mini-calla lily with Italian ruscus foliage.
Natural Ceremony Splendor
Hannah and Joshβs ceremony decor was a show-stopping display of greenery. We constructed their chuppah from simple birch poles, with additional corner pieces made from rustic branches. The front valance was draped with lush Italian ruscus foliage. Dramatic arrangements of white spirea accented with white hybrid delphinium and larkspur flanked the ceremony on graduated pedestals.
Old Meets New Decor
At the reception, guest tables varied amongst three distinct but complementary centerpiece designs. A third of the tables featured tall glass cylinder vases filled with white spirea accented with white delphinium and white larkspur. Long tables were anchored with white flower boxes, from which flowed aΒ textured garden mix of whiteΒ astilbe, campanula, hydrangea, lisianthus,Β Queen Anne’s lace,Β snapdragons, stock, and waxflowerΒ accented with bells of Ireland, lady’sΒ mantle, trachelium, and Italian ruscus foliage. The finalΒ third featured clusters of blue-and-white white chinoiserie vases, each displayingΒ an eclectic mix of green andΒ white flowers.
We loved every minute of working with Hannah and Josh on this unforgettable wedding at the Ritz Carlton DC, and wish you both all the best!
