Ellen’s and Phil’s wedding was a joy from beginning to end, with sweet rustic florals and sentimental touches throughout. We loved being part of this rustic Toolbox Studio wedding in Washington, DC – such a fun and unique space!
As we helped this wonderful couple plan their flowers, we fell in love with the soft color palette and mix of textures Ellen and Phil chose. For Ellen, we created an elegant, French hand-tied bouquet combining gorgeous Cool Water roses, pale pink Bashful spray roses, lavender stock, purple scabiosa, burgundy astrantia, burgundy hellebores, and a mix of gray and gray-green dusty miller and seeded eucalyptus foliage. Her lucky bridesmaids carried complementary bouquets that perfectly coordinated with their soft gray, pink and mauve gowns. The guys looked great, too, in their purple-hued boutonnieres. Phil’s boutonniere featured a purple lisianthus blossom accented with white astilbe and seeded eucalyptus foliage, while the rest of the boutonnieres incorporated a lavender rose accented with seeded eucalyptus.
Ellen’s and Phil’s display of special photos at their venue, highlighted by votive candles and rustic bunches of blooms in soft purples and whites, really set the tone for a wonderful evening! After Ellen’s and Phil’s beautiful “I do’s,” it was time to celebrate! At the reception, we adorned each guest table with an elegant yet rustic centerpiece assembled from a pint-size and quart-size mason jar, each filled with either white or purple hydrangea and accented with seeded eucalyptus. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were also repurposed into beautiful accent decor for the party!
Ellen’s and Phil’s wedding flowers were perfect for the special, romantic event they’d envisioned, and we were happy to bring their vision to life. Congratulations and best wishes!
