Rich purples and soft lavenders, as well as an overall aesthetic of rustic elegance, are what we brought to Marla and Liam’s wedding at Lorien Hotel & Spa, now the Archer Hotel. Located at on King Street, the venue is right in our neck of the woods in Old Town Alexandria. We had a great time working with the luscious colors and textures of this sweet couple’s rustic wedding.
The gorgeous colors of Marla’s bridal bouquet really popped against her gown! Purple lisianthus, purple stock, lavender roses, and scabiosa pods contrasted beautifully with the ivory garden roses and ivory spray roses. The stems were wrapped in a natural burlap ribbon and finished in twine. Meanwhile, the bridesmaids’ lighter bouquets, in hues of ivory and lavender, also stood out from their plum dresses. Liam’s boutonniere, as well as the remaining boutonnieres, were kept simple, with an ivory rose accented with seeded eucalyptus.
The guest tables were transformed for the rustic Archer Hotel wedding with unique centerpieces consisting of mason jars tied with twine. Each jar was filled with the same purple and white blooms featured throughout the wedding, for a coordinated, yet elegantly casual, look. White jar candles, accented with purple ribbon, added to the intimate feel of the reception.
Marla’s and Liam’s happiness shines through in their photos from the day, and we loved being a part of their rustic Archer Hotel wedding. Congratulations!
