The Ronald Reagan Building is located at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, a prime location for a true DC wedding feel. In addition to breaktaking views, Ronald Reagan Building weddings offer all the essentials you need for a wedding. From the Pavilion Room to the Horizon Ballroom, the intimate Rotunda or the grand Atrium, in a city full of historic sites, it’s a contemporary architectural gem and a modern vantage point from which to stage a wedding. It is truly a blank slate but also one where clean lines rule the day.
Woodrow Wilson Plaza
The area in and around the Reagan Building provides an excellent backdrop for first looks and wedding party photos. It’s also a stone’s throw for portraits with a monument view. If outdoor is your ceremony style, Woodrow Wilson Plaza is a tremendous space from which to center a ceremony. You can easily use one of the dramatic silver sculptures as a focal point or introduce a complete backdrop like a boxwood wall.
Rotunda and Horizon Ballroom
While most people think of the Ronald Reagan Building as a venue for large events, the most intimate of spaces are the Horizon Ballroom and the Rotunda. We’ve staged many a ceremony and intimate reception in these spaces.
Pavilion Room
The most popular of the wedding spaces at the Reagan Building is the Pavilion Room, one we’ve often used for both ceremony and reception. One thing we love for this space is the opportunity to create a statement piece, as it’s the first thing people see as they disembark the elevator. With ceremony and reception in the same space, it’s also a perfect opportunity to repurpose tall designs along an aisle for a doubly dramatic feel.
Atrium
For a larger guest count, we love the Atrium at the Ronald Reagan Building. It is known for its minimalist design, a towering glass ceiling, a grand staircase, and plenty of natural light. It’s a fabulous blank canvas for any large wedding, and will allow for you to customize your look and design. That said, this is one of the spaces where tall elements – or something suspended – are crucial for helping to fill the space.
We adore weddings at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center! It’s fabulous to have such a versatile and modern venue in Washington, DC.
