Romantic Lavender for Mayflower Hotel Wedding
There are few wedding venues as perfect as the Mayflower Hotel for a classic and elegant city wedding. With a blend of classic, cool-toned hues and a lush mix of elegant blooms, we designed a floral palette of romantic lavender for Kristin and Desmond that was perfect for their Mayflower Hotel wedding. Kristin’s bouquet held the best of spring with white peonies, Early Gray and Ocean Song roses with dusty miller foliage bringing in soft gray tones. For her maid of honor, we created a simpler and smaller version of the bridal bouquet, using white peonies, lavender roses, and dusty miller wrapped in black satin ribbon to match her dress. Desmond’s boutonniere perfectly complemented his beautiful bride’s bouquet, and consisted of an immaculate white rose accented with dusty miller and banded with black ribbon to blend into his tuxedo.
Ceremony in the Chinese Ballroom
The Chinese Ballroom at the Mayflower Hotel was transformed into a spectacular setting for Kristin and Desmond’s wedding ceremony. A pristine white fabric aisle runner provided a clean walkway for the ceremony. The entrance to the aisle opened up with two dramatic arrangements in romantic lavender, whites, and grays atop clear pilsner-style vases. A matching set flanked the ceremony area. To honor Kristin’s father, a posy of lavender and white blooms were placed on one of the seats in the front row.
Romantic Lavender Hued Reception
For the reception, the room featured an alternating centerpieces. And elevated design in romantic lavender, white and gray tones was placed on half of the tables. White hydrangea, stock spray roses and lisianthus were joined by lavender roses and dusty miller atop a fluted glass vase for a dramatic presentation. Elevated glass stands with floating candles accented the base of the centerpiece for a magical effect. To complete the room, collections of glass cylinder vases of varying heights contained tailored designs of white hydrangea and pale lavender roses. Floating candles twinkled from adjacent cylindrical vases.
Our very best wishes to Kristin and Desmond on their marriage and Mayflower Hotel wedding!
