Romantic Hotel Monaco DC Wedding Flowers for a Spring Celebration
Hannah & Mike’s springtime wedding at the Hotel Monaco Washington DC was a beautiful study in soft lavender and honey tones, an effortlessly romantic palette that felt fresh and refined in this iconic space. The couple envisioned floral details that were textured and garden-inspired, with an overall tailored look. From the suspended chuppah to the statement rotunda installation and lush tablescapes, their wedding flowers brought a layered sense of romance to every part of the day.
Set in Penn Quarter, the Hotel Monaco is one of DC’s most unique wedding venues. A former 19th-century post office building has now transformed into a bold and stylish boutique hotel. Its elegant Paris Ballroom and striking marble-columned architecture offer a rich backdrop for wedding celebrations. For Hannah & Mike’s wedding, we leaned into the building’s historic charm while adding an abundance of fresh floral elements to soften and elevate the space.
Guests were greeted in the Paris Ballroom by a stunning mid-height Destiny Urn overflowing with roses in soft lavender hues, trailing clematis vine, jasmine foliage, and lavender stock. This arrangement set the tone: romantic, garden-inspired, and full of texture.
The ceremony itself featured a suspended chuppah in white fabric, an airy, modern focal point softened with lush foliage. A dramatic smilax installation climbed the rotunda columns, adding a natural, whimsical element to the grandeur of the space.
Of course, Hotel Monaco DC wedding flowers wouldn’t be complete without the bridal bouquet. Hannah carried an elegant French hand-tied bouquet embraced spring flowers – white peonies, Cool Water and Ocean Song lavender roses, white peonies, pale pink Sweet Escimo roses, purple veronica, and eucalyptus, the perfect balance of tailored and textured. Her bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids carried similar lavender and white bouquets for a cohesive look.
Reception tables featured a mix of table centerpiece designs. Half showcased lush compote centerpieces with lavender lilac, Amnesia and Golden Mustard roses, butterfly ranunculus, lavender stock, blush rice flower, white ranunculus and lavender sweet peas — each surrounded by honey-hued rope taper candles in glass hurricanes. The other tables offered an airy, editorial vibe with bud vases in lavender and honey tones, accented by ribbed glass chimneys for taper candles, bathing the table in candlelight.
Hannah and Mike’s day was a celebration of love and light, with Hotel Monaco DC wedding flowers that captured every joyful moment in soft, romantic color.
