Modern Oxon Hill Wedding

This past September we were delighted to be a part of Stacy and Addisu’s beautiful modern Oxon Hill wedding.  It was a gorgeous day, and the perfect weather for the rich shades of pink Stacy chose for her flowers. The bride’s bouquet pair classic garden blooms with a touch of contemporary. The bouquet was designing using pink garden roses and spray roses, clean-lined white cymbidium orchids and pink bouvardia, finished with hanging green amaranthus. The overall feel of their flowers was classic but yet modern, a look that both complemented and updated the feel of the venue. The real show stopper here, though, was the cake – an ombre design of roses in shades of pink, ranging from very pale pink to hot pink, cascaded dramatically down the side of the five tiered cake. A stunning choice for a modern Oxon Hill wedding.

White roses. Baby’s breath. Taper candles. Bud vases. That’s it! Except it’s everything. For this modern black-and-white wedding at the Hotel Monaco, the impact wasn’t in the quantity. It was in the intention. Every floral element was thoughtfully placed to enhance the space, not overwhelm it.

We’re big believers in letting design whisper, not shout, and this one spoke volumes.
