Today, we are putting the spotlight on a beautiful wedding venue located in the heart of downtown Washington, DC. A light-filled, modern industrial space filled with art work could only be Long View Gallery!

About

Long View Gallery is no ordinary space. It features 8,500 sq. ft. of modern industrial space. It is the largest contemporary art gallery in the city. With ongoing exhibitions of work by emerging and established artists, the space serves as a beautiful backdrop for any ceremony and reception.

Capacity: Seated dinner and dancing 200 Guests

Pro Tip:

In a space like this, we love to see color! The walls are white, the ceilings and floor finished concrete and exposed pipe. When you bring in color, the space is breath-taking! We also love to see some attention to lighting. Whether you’re stringing up cafe lights, adding uplighting and pin spotting, or suspending chandeliers, the ample 15-foot ceilings provide many opportunities to make the dinner experience more cozy.

For Mandana & Jan’s St. Francis Hall wedding, Mandana carried a cascading bouquet of white anemone, burgundy hanging amaranthus, roses and spray roses in shades of burgundy and cream, and burgundy protea accented with eucalyptus and jasmine vine. The shapes were bold and sculptural, which gave the bouquet a modern feeling while still feeling elegant against the historic backdrop of the hall. When a bouquet reflects the personality of the couple, it becomes more than just flowers. It becomes part of the story of the day.⁣

At the Dockmaster Building, the water, sky, reflections, and light become part of the experience. The floor-to-ceiling glass and panoramic waterfront views create a setting that feels airy, modern, and completely different from the more traditional DC wedding venues we work in so often.⁣

We loved leaning into that atmosphere for Claire & Sean`s wedding with flowers that felt organic, textural, and romantic without competing with the architecture or the view.⁣
