It goes without saying that we love couples who want flowers everywhere – even better when they allow us to adorn practically every surface with dreamy, delicate blooms and lush greenery! That’s exactly what we did at Meghan’s and Pierce’s breathtaking wedding. Our designs featured a classically romantic palette of ivory, champagne, and peach, accented with soft greens, greys and blues. Meghan and Pierce had specially requested that their florals have an Italianate flair, for which we incorporated rosemary and Italian ruscus into every arrangement we created.
Meghan’s bridal bouquet showcased soft, muted colors and gorgeous texture, with blooms that included ivory garden roses, champagne Sahara roses, ivory spray roses, white lisianthus, peach stock and blue-black berries, finished with touches of rosemary, Italian ruscus, silver-hued dusty miller, silver dollar eucalyptus, and salal. Meghan’s bridesmaids carried elegant, hand-tied bouquets in a complementary design. All the rich textures contributed to the Italian-inspired Dumbarton House wedding.
Wedding receptions at Dumbarton House in Washington, DC are always stunning, but this one especially so, with its sophisticated and luxe atmosphere reflected in the florals presented throughout the space. The kings table and guest tables were festooned with many of the same white, peach, ivory and champagne flowers as the bouquets, presented in antique gold containers. The kings table was further accented with small glass urns that combined white hydrangea, ivory spray roses, Queen Anne’s lace, and more. One of the things that made Meghan’s and Pierce’s wedding so unforgettable are the sweet floral touches they incorporated into every aspect of their guests’ experience. No detail was spared, even a sprig of lavender at each place setting to cement the Italian-Inspired Dumbarton House wedding. Friends and family were welcomed to the reception with a beautiful arrangement on the escort table, while even more flowers awaited them at the bar, cocktail tables, bar, gift table and on the wedding cake!
Perhaps our favorite use of our floral designs, though, was as an accent to Meghan’s sweet childhood note to her dad, prominently displayed to make everyone nostalgic. Meghan and Pierce’s wedding reminded us of why we love what we do, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness!
