Indigo Landing Wedding

Indigo Landing Wedding

We were overjoyed to be a part of Caitlin and Landon’s big day earlier this year!  It was a lovely, cool September day as we helped them tie the knot, providing them with both flowers as well as day-of coordination services. While Caitlin was initially disappointed that it was a bit overcast on her wedding day, she brightened up when she learned that overcast skies make for the best lighting for photos! The gorgeous bride carried an elegant and loose bouquet of ivory garden roses, blush pink callas, white stock, lisianthus and dahlias, finished with tendrils of sage green seeded eucalyptus.  The bridesmaids matched the bride, with smaller versions of the bridal, minus the blush pink.

The ceremony was at the historic, neighborhood Catholic church of St. Peter’s on Capitol Hill, followed by a lovely reception at Indigo Landing restaurant. The restaurant, situated on the Potomac River and facing downtown Washington DC, is just north of Old Town Alexandria, and has amazing views of the city from big plate glass windows and outside decks. Flowers for the tables matched the simple, loose and organic style of the bridal bouquet, with textured whites and ivories accented with blush pink and sage green. Our groom, Landon, works for the Department of the Interior, and so as a nod to that – and their mutual love of the outdoors – the couple chose placecards, table names and other decor that mimicked the style of our classic national park signs.  Such a cute, personal touch!

It was such a pleasure working with Caitlin and Landon!  We wish them a long, happy life together!

Industrial spaces have a beauty of their own, but the right floral design can take them from warehouse to urban garden. 🌿✨

For Laura & Michael’s Dock 5 wedding, we played with scale—tall magnolia branches to emphasize the height, lush florals to soften the space, and candlelight to add warmth. The result? An urban oasis that felt both grand and intimate.

1️⃣Go Big with Greenery – Tall magnolia branches brought height and movement to Laura & Michael’s Dock 5 wedding

2️⃣ Mix Textures – Lush, low floral arrangements softened the industrial edges while keeping the space dynamic

3️⃣ Layer Candlelight – Warm glows + metal details = a romantic urban oasis

4️⃣ Frame Key Spaces – A floral garland on the head table grounded the design and added intimacy. Trees flanking the table took it to the next level

5️⃣ Contrast is Key – Pairing the raw, industrial elements with soft florals and organic details created the perfect balance

Not all green and white floral palettes are created equal. This one here will NEVER go out of style and is truly as timeless as they come! Magnolia, eucalyptus, rosemary, and delicate touches of white… Add velvet linens and gold touches, and we’re smitten... 😍
