With stunning textural florals and a chuppah worth swooning over, Lottie and Kyle’s wedding at the Hotel Monaco in Washington, DC was a dream from beginning to end! Modern metallics paired with a palette of white, blue, and sage green, giving us lots of opportunities to be creative in designing sophisticated and elegant florals.
Lottie’s bridal bouquet wasn’t lacking in “something blue,” as we tucked blue delphinium amidst white cymbidium orchids, white mini calla lilies, and grey echevaria. Seeded eucalyptus foliage added a tailored accent.
For the couple’s ceremony, we created a unique suspended chuppah as a striking focal point. Delicate strands of white dendrobium orchid blossoms cascaded from each corner of the chuppah for an extraordinarily romantic effect. Guests were also wowed by lush, dramatic arrangements of blue delphinium, white larkspur, white snapdragons, and white dendrobium orchids, displayed on pedestals that lined the ceremony aisle. These arrangements were too gorgeous to leave as ceremony decor, so we used a similar style in the reception, too!
For Lottie’s and Kyle’s head table, we designed a special tablescape that featured glass-enclosed pillar candles of varying heights, which were interspersed with succulents accented with seeded eucalyptus and displayed in mixed-metal gold and silver vases. Also showcased were petite monobotanic bunches of white cymbidium orchids, white mini calla lilies, white ranunculus and ivory spray roses in rose gold containers. As they enjoyed the Hotel Monaco’s fabulous catering, guests also feasted their eyes on one of two distinct centerpiece designs, each expressing modern elegance with a classic twist. The first design, created in a tall, fluted glass vase, featured white dendrobium orchids and blue delphinium accented with an abundant mix of baby blue, silver dollar and seeded eucalyptus foliages. We then submerged sprays of orchids inside the vases for an unexpected and luxurious finishing touch. For the lush and contemporary second centerpiece design, we arranged white hydrangea, white mini calla lilies, white cymbidium orchids, blue delphinium and gray echevaria in a square gold cube vase. To pull it all together, we accented Lottie’s and Kyle’s beautiful wedding cake with a selection of grey echevaria as well.
We loved playing with these colors and textures, and bringing joy to a wonderful couple at their Hotel Monaco DC wedding. Best wishes to Lottie and Kyle!
