Elegant Hay Adams DC Wedding

Elegant Hay Adams DC Wedding

Petal's Edge DC | Real Wedding at the Hay-Adams Hotel | Washington DC Wedding Florist

Few wedding venues are as romantic and elegant as the Hay Adams Hotel in Washington, DC, which is just one of the reasons we were thrilled to design Robin and Chuck’s flowers for their reception. Everything about the couple’s elegant Hay Adams wedding was sophisticated, including their classic winter white color palette! Creating a stunning contrast to Robin’s unique olive gown was her sophisticated, white-hued French hand-tied bouquet. Mini calla lilies were ringed with a collar of winter white astilbe and wrapped in ivory satin ribbon, finished with delicate pearl-headed pins. Chuck’s boutonnière was timeless and white as well, combining a complementary mini calla lily and winter white astilbe, wrapped in masculine black ribbon.

Reception in the John Hay Room

For the cocktail hour at the Hay Adams, we provided delicate tale arrangements consisting of artful stems of mini calla lilies, displayed in small vases. The elegant Hay Adams wedding reception remained classic, with centerpieces of lush, textured white hydrangea, white stock, ivory roses, white astilbe, white freesia, white mini calla lilies and white anemone, accented with green camelia foliage and displayed in gold mercury glass bowls. The sweet finale was a stunning cake topped with an elegant crown of mini calla lilies.

Congratulations to Robin and Chuck on their elegant Hay Adams DC wedding, with our warmest wishes for a lifetime of happiness together!

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.

A night of mystery and masquerade — and the perfect way to fête the 10th anniversary of The Scout Guide Alexandria and the launch of Vol. 10! ✨

We loved adding our signature touch of floral drama to this year’s launch party at the Hotel Heron. From a moody and dramatic entrance piece to a flower-filled car, sculptural arrangements on cocktail tables and elevated bar arrangements casting feathered shadows and moody textures, this event let us play in a world of whimsy and wonder.

We’re proud to be part of a guide that champions small businesses and celebrates creativity in our community. Supporting local means investing in the makers, doers, and dreamers who make Alexandria vibrant — and The Scout Guide does just that, beautifully. Cheers to Vol. 10! Special thanks to Sarah and Claire for always being so supportive and encouraging.
