This past Spring, we had the privilege of designing and producing Annie and Ishai’s garden inspired wedding at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Yes! Back when the world was still normal and things weren’t turned yet on their head. Despite being in a classic DC ballroom, with the choices they made, it became the perfect setting for a Spring garden wedding! For Annie and Ishai’s wedding, we incorporated many of our favorite spring blooms: rice flower, anemone, astilbe, freesia, garden roses, and lisianthus all made their way into the floral palette.
For this garden inspired wedding at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the bride carried the only color in the wedding. Annie’s bouquet featured Juliet garden roses, light pink rice flower, and light pink lisianthus accented with both mauve pink carnations and silver dollar eucalyptus. The men sported all white mini-calla lily boutonnieres, a perfect masculine choice.
For their ceremony, the chuppah was made of wood to provide a natural, garden inspired wedding element into an otherwise simple ballroom setting. The structure was then complimented with lush, smilax vines and white roses, spray roses, and lisianthus. The entrance to the aisle was graced with two pairs of dramatic arrangements of camellia branches, lending the feel of an enchanted garden entrance to the ceremony and the natural feel of trees to the ballroom.
The tables consisted of three styles of garden inspired wedding centerpieces. The first was a clear glass cylinder vase which overflowed with greenery and spring flowers. The rectangle tables hosted white flower boxes with a textured garden mix of white hydrangea, stock, astilbe, anemone, lisianthus, roses and spray roses, snapdragons accented with ruscus and salal foliage. Lastly, the final style was a large organic centerpiece in a tall clear glass pilsner vase. These designs were truly show stoppers, matching the height of the ballroom and creating movement in the room.
Congrats to Annie and Ishai! We are so luck you chose us to bring your beautiful vision to life and we wish you the happiest marriage together!
