Fall St. Francis Hall Wedding

Fall St. Francis Hall Wedding

Maria and Paul’s fall St Francis Hall wedding was every bit of warmth you can imagine – from the details of the flowers and decor to the overall wedding itself. Inspired by the motif on the invitation, the wedding incorporated a color palette of warm burgundies, reds, oranges and peaches with textural accents of dark blue. It was so exciting to add design details when we saw what a colorful and unique invitation Maria and Paul had chosen!

Maria’s stunning bouquet featured our favorite Juliet garden roses, burgundy dahlia, wine anemone, plum and orange ranunculus, burnt orange Leonidas roses, orange spray roses, and blue-black privet berries finished with loose touches of jasmine vine. We loved how Maria used part of Paul’s uniform for the wrap on the bouquet. While Paul wore his uniform for the ceremony, he changed into a tux and wore a ranunculus blossom accented with jasmine vine for the reception. The day started with first look and then group photos on the grounds of Gonzaga School.

The ceremony took place at the newly renovated St. Aloysius Church. Because of the large wedding party, bridesmaids and groomsmen proceeded in pairs, arm-in-arm down the aisle. Probably our favorite part of the ceremony was the sword arch at the church exit.

For photos following the ceremony, Maria donned an elegant hair crown fashioned from flowers also featured in her bridal bouquet. She looked perfectly bohemian and the style suited her gown perfectly.

The Fall St Francis Hall wedding reception took on an intimate feel in the grand space, with low but colorful table designs featured at each place setting.

For the fall St Francis Hall wedding cocktail hour, small urns held a loose and eclectic mix of wedding flowers. The table centerpieces featured a loose, organic and overflowing design of garden roses, dahlia, anemone, ranunculus, roses and spray roses accented with crab apple branch, privet berries, and loose touches of jasmine vine and seeded eucalyptus. Pots of honey served as favors for the guests. And Main Event outdid itself with the family service menu of incredible foods.

The head table was placed on the stage, where in addition to the bouquets, a collection of mercury class vases and candles set the scene for the elegant dinner.

An incredible naked cake for the reception was simply dressed with accents of flowers and a V to mark the top.

Getting to know both Maria and Paul as well as their lovely families in the course of planning was truly a treat! Thank you for letting us be a part of your day, and best wishes for a long and happy marriage!

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.

A night of mystery and masquerade — and the perfect way to fête the 10th anniversary of The Scout Guide Alexandria and the launch of Vol. 10! ✨

We loved adding our signature touch of floral drama to this year’s launch party at the Hotel Heron. From a moody and dramatic entrance piece to a flower-filled car, sculptural arrangements on cocktail tables and elevated bar arrangements casting feathered shadows and moody textures, this event let us play in a world of whimsy and wonder.

We’re proud to be part of a guide that champions small businesses and celebrates creativity in our community. Supporting local means investing in the makers, doers, and dreamers who make Alexandria vibrant — and The Scout Guide does just that, beautifully. Cheers to Vol. 10! Special thanks to Sarah and Claire for always being so supportive and encouraging.
