Winter is a funny time of year for a wedding in DC. Will it be wintry with snow on the ground? Will it be fall? You never know, and the vibrant yellow leafed backdrop for Erika and Erich’s December wedding was no different! We call it a fall December wedding!
Erika and Erich had a delightful ceremony at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The ladies carried luscious bouquets in romantic ivory, pale pinks and peaches. Erin’s bouquet featured white and ivory peonies, garden roses, stock, and sweet pea accented with touches of seeded eucalyptus foliage. Her bridesmaids carried roses, stock, ranunculus and sweet pea in ivories, peaches and pinks accented with seeded eucalyptus.
Following the ceremony, the reception took place at the Carnegie Institute. A romantic and intimate glow was created with a mix of candles and low table designs.
In the grand rotunda, tall designs topped gold vases, each featuring a lush mix of hydrangea, stock, roses and spray roses, hypericum berries and a mix of seeded eucalyptus and evergreens – a subtle nod to the season. Candles filled the fireplace in the board room.
In addition to the table arrangements, lush wreaths were placed on the backs of Erika and Erich’s chairs for the reception. Each featured soft pinks, peaches and ivories. A demo-cascade of wedding flowers adorned the cake.
