Fairmont DC Wedding

Fairmont DC Wedding

Michelle and Sam were blessed with a gorgeous day in July for their Fairmont DC wedding. They kicked things off with a ceremony at Holy Trinity Church in Georgetown. Afterwards, guests enjoyed cocktails and a festive reception at the Fairmont DC Hotel’s Courtyard and Colonnade room.

The couple’s wedding ceremony was simple and traditional, with Michelle walking down the aisle carrying a stunning cascade bouquet in whites and lavenders, with naturally cascading stems of white phalaenopsis orchids. Her bouquet featured lavender and white roses, lavender clematis. Two traditional altar arrangements in whites and lavenders marked the altar where the couple recited their vows.

July is without a doubt HOT in Washington, DC, and so if you love the security of an indoor wedding venue and natural light, there’s not better place than the Fairmont DC for your wedding. The gorgeous Colonnade room offers 360 degrees of floor-to-ceiling windows.

Elevating Michelle and Sam’s reception, lush designs of smilax and eucalyptus accented with lavender and white roses decorated the two front columns of the Colonnade. And as if that wasn’t enough, the head table featured a 30-feet long deconstructed garland of white hydrangea, lavender and white roses, lavender and white stock, lavender clematis and touches of greenery. Alternating tall and low centerpiece designs created drama and movement within the space, and the floral palette of cool lavenders and white was the perfect solution to the July heat.

We thank you for trusting us with your vision, and wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Industrial spaces have a beauty of their own, but the right floral design can take them from warehouse to urban garden. 🌿✨

For Laura & Michael’s Dock 5 wedding, we played with scale—tall magnolia branches to emphasize the height, lush florals to soften the space, and candlelight to add warmth. The result? An urban oasis that felt both grand and intimate.

1️⃣Go Big with Greenery – Tall magnolia branches brought height and movement to Laura & Michael’s Dock 5 wedding

2️⃣ Mix Textures – Lush, low floral arrangements softened the industrial edges while keeping the space dynamic

3️⃣ Layer Candlelight – Warm glows + metal details = a romantic urban oasis

4️⃣ Frame Key Spaces – A floral garland on the head table grounded the design and added intimacy. Trees flanking the table took it to the next level

5️⃣ Contrast is Key – Pairing the raw, industrial elements with soft florals and organic details created the perfect balance

Not all green and white floral palettes are created equal. This one here will NEVER go out of style and is truly as timeless as they come! Magnolia, eucalyptus, rosemary, and delicate touches of white… Add velvet linens and gold touches, and we’re smitten... 😍
