Fairmont DC Hotel Wedding ceremony

The Fairmont Washington DC played host to Angelica and Ricky’s wedding that was nothing short of a floral masterpiece. The luxurious event was graced with an array of meticulously designed arrangements that transformed the venue into a garden of elegance.

Angelica’s bouquet set the tone with its understated yet modern Biedermeier style. A profusion of white mini-callas, roses, white stock in concentric rings blended to create a vision of sophistication. Bridesmaids carried lush bouquets echoing the bridal theme, featuring white mini-callas bound with chic black satin ribbon. The contrast was striking and exuded an air of refined grace.

The groom’s boutonniere, a white mini-calla accented with artful bear grass loops, was a testament to the simple and clean, modern lines conveyed by the flowers. The remaining boutonnieres, understated yet dapper, featured the unadorned beauty of the white mini-calla, secured with a black ribbon.

The chuppah, a focal point of the ceremony, was constructed with simple bamboo poles supporting a canopy of natural white silk dupioni. Two dramatic sprays of white hydrangea and phalaenopsis adorned the front corners, creating a captivating visual. Guests were welcomed by an enchanting display of vases and candles on the kippot and program table. Three varying-height cylinder vases were each filled with a single type of white flower, surrounded by floating candles, setting the stage for an unforgettable ceremony.

The reception space was a testament to classic elegance, featuring two distinct centerpiece designs. Round tables were graced with modern vases with elegant stems of white phalaenopsis orchids, while rectangular tables boasted tall vases adorned with the same exquisite blossoms. he bar table, a hub of festivities, featured flared glass vases showcasing a spray of open-cut white calla lilies, an exquisite touch to the celebration.

In every detail, from the bride’s bouquet to the reception centerpieces, this Fairmont DC Hotel wedding was a floral symphony, blending luxury with timeless beauty.

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
