Stylish Escort Card Designs
The first thing guests generally see as they arrive at your reception is the escort card display. It’s an apt place to design the welcome for your event. Since it is often a stand alone piece, escort card designs are also a great place to do something a little playful and different. Though you can have a unique design for the ceremony or unusual flowers in centerpiece, the chances are you’ve seen something similar. The escort card display is place to be truly unique! Whether it is personalized to fit you as a couple or a place to express a little whimsy, the escort card display is a place to embrace novelty. It can be on a table, a wall, a free-standing piece and so much more!
Escort card designs are truly one of our favorite places to come up with something fabulous and unique. While there’s definitely a function element in guiding guests to their seat and indicating a meal choice for the caterer (and yes, that’s very important!), you can also create a design that is interactive or which provides guests with a take home. Below are some of our favorite designs from over the years.
1. A Printed Escort Card Board
Seating charts have become a lot more popular in recent years! Whether a one-piece printed design or one with individual cards, the statement piece always makes a stunning first impression for the reception. The accents of candles and flowers or greenery may seem unnecessary, but they truly adds so much!
2. Whimsical Escort Card Displays
We have created many funny designs for the escort card table. We had one couple embrace their love of baseball by filling the escort card table vase with baseballs. But we loved this tablescape designed to reflect the couple’s beloved pets!
3. Boozy Escort Card Displays
We have many wine, champagne, and tequila loving couples! One couple used used a port box to hold their flowers! Blending name cards with a glass of champagne is truly a way to welcome your guests. We’ve also seen wine corks, shot glasses, champagne walls and more.
4. Potted Plant Table Display
We love potted plants. There are a few key things that take this display to the next level: Pots were painted with one of the key wedding colors to make the design cohesive. The table is also FULL with potted herbs. And finally, the natural backdrop make this display of herbs feel right at home. Together, they make for a seriously sweet escort card display.
5. Succulent Favors
Individual succulent plants are popular and adorable favors – something that guests can both take to their seats and then home with them at the end of the event. If you think the wedding might “succ” without all your beloved guests, then this might be the choice for you! (See what we did there?)
6. Travel Themed Escort Card Display
Getting married in a train station? Grab a suitcase and get your ticket punched at the escort card table. Double up on your travel theme with luggage tags that double as both favor and escort card. Need we say more?
7. Washington Monument
Take that love for our home town monuments to the classiest level possible! Need we say more?
8. Suspended Escort Cards
It’s been a hot minute since we did something like this, but if you want to create an interactive experience where people search for their cards, this is it! Pro tip: While this definitely provides an awe-inspiring moment, you’ll want to have someone on hand with a list for those guests that lose patience in the “hunt”.
9. Boxwood Wall
A large guest count means you need a large wall to direct seating! Try placing a lucite panel against a boxwood wall for striking escort display. The addition of flowers or candles finish out this look perfectly. After guests take their seats, this idea makes a great photo backdrop during the reception.
10. Love Story
This couple celebrated the harvest moon festival that coincided with their wedding. Touches of greenery and flowers were perfect touches to soften the design. We love the individual moon cake favors
And One More!
What’s more charming that a fluffy bed of flowers to support your escort cards?
