Dumbarton House Georgetown Wedding

Dumbarton House Georgetown Belle Vue courtyard set with long tables

If you have ever been to Dumbarton House in Georgetown, you know how charming the place is. When working with Sara and Matt, we were sure to create a classic wedding look that complemented the elegant venue.

The classic Dumbarton House wedding was designed in a timeless palette of bridal whites and ivories. Sarah’s elegant, bouquet showcased fluffy white hydrangea, ivory garden roses and white lisianthus blossoms. Her maid of honor carried a beautiful bouquet of hydrangea, roses and lisianthus. Matt and his groomsmen looked sharp in boutonnières created from an ivory rose accented with Italian ruscus foliage.

As guests arrived for the classic Dumbarton House wedding, they were greeted by two elegant boxwood monogram wreaths on the front gates. Two urns flanked the ceremony area, each filled with white hydrangea, white stock, ivory roses and spray roses, white lisianthus, and white larkspur. Lemon leaf foliage provided a contrasting accent.

A striking arrangement beside the seating chart welcomed guests to the classic Dumbarton House wedding reception. White hydrangea, white stock, ivory roses and spray roses, and white lisianthus, finished with touches of lemon leaf foliage, were displayed beautifully in an elegant urn.

For the guest tables, elegant garlands with ivory roses and spray roses were spread across the length of each long table, spilling to the floor on each side. A mix of soft blooms, showcased throughout the wedding, topped Sarah’s and Matt’s pristine white wedding cake.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.

A night of mystery and masquerade — and the perfect way to fête the 10th anniversary of The Scout Guide Alexandria and the launch of Vol. 10! ✨

We loved adding our signature touch of floral drama to this year’s launch party at the Hotel Heron. From a moody and dramatic entrance piece to a flower-filled car, sculptural arrangements on cocktail tables and elevated bar arrangements casting feathered shadows and moody textures, this event let us play in a world of whimsy and wonder.

We’re proud to be part of a guide that champions small businesses and celebrates creativity in our community. Supporting local means investing in the makers, doers, and dreamers who make Alexandria vibrant — and The Scout Guide does just that, beautifully. Cheers to Vol. 10! Special thanks to Sarah and Claire for always being so supportive and encouraging.
