Is there really anything better than a Dumbarton House wedding in DC? Spring, summer, winter or, in this case, fall! – Dumbarton House sets an elegant tone for a timeless wedding. From the gracious entry through the wrought iron gate to the exquisite north garden, and grand staircases leading to the lower courtyard, the venue creates a luxurious garden atmosphere filled with Federal period details. Even the simplest decor can make a grand impact. In the case of Karen and Evan’s wedding, however, they wanted to make the space unforgettable for their guests, and so we designed a lush garden wedding at Dumbarton House!
Karen’s bouquet was filled with garden roses, ranunculus, and eucalyptus foliage, with her bridesmaids carrying simpler, smaller versions of her bouquet. We looked forward to the “wow” factor of the ceremony all year – from the lush garden arch to the aisle garland bestrewn with white roses and spray roses. The arch was the epitome of a lush garden wedding, filled with smilax, salal, and ruscus, roses and spray roses! It suited Dumbarton House beautifully.
There was nothing left untouched for the lush garden wedding at Dumbarton House with a stunning bar design, cocktail table arrangements, a smilax adorned walkway, and the most beautiful centerpiece designs. And best of all, the garland from the ceremony was repurposed around the lower courtyard’s stone urn for a stunning backdrop to the couple’s reception entrance! Take a look for yourself below! We wish Karen and Evan all the best!
