One thing we find especially lovely about our wedding blog this time of year is that just as it is getting precipitously cold outside – and we’re talking freeze your face off cold! – we get to cast our memories to warmer times and warm weather weddings. Amanda and David’s classic garden wedding at the Omni Shoreham hotel this past June is no exception! Their wedding flowers featured a lush, garden palette of greens, pale pinks, and whites accented with pops of orange for a casual, organic look. Amanda’s bridal bouquet featured a loose and textured design created with white peonies, veronica and Queen Anne’s lace, peach Juliet garden roses and orange pin cushion protea rounded out with an array of greenery – silver dollar eucalyptus and camellia foliage with jasmine vine loosely draping and spilling away for a natural and organic look. The bridesmaids’ bouquets similarly featured a lush mix of greens accented with delicate touches of white veronica, spray roses and Queen Anne’s lace for a more neutral color scheme of green and white. The groom’s boutonniere featured a peach garden rose accented with silver dollar eucalyptus while the groomsmen’s boutonnieres were designed with a clutch of mixed greens – both finished with a rustic twine wrap.
The ceremony for the classic garden wedding at the Omni Shoreham took place on the lawn, with the stately gazebo serving as the focal point. The two front pillars of the gazebo were wrapped with a lush garland of three different eucalyptus foliages accented with lemon leaf.
Guests were greeted for the classic garden wedding at the Omni Shoreham reception by an elegant glass trumpet vase on the escort card table. The vase was filled with a dramatic design of tall curly willow branches, white open-cut callas, gladiola, snapdragons and larkspur accented with loose greenery for texture and movement. The tables alternated between two casual and organic wedding centerpiece designs. Half of the tables featured a dark-stained wood box filled with a richly textured design of antique green hydrangea, loose mixed greens, and delicate white flowers such as veronica and Queen Anne’s lace accented with orange freesia for a pop of orange. The remainder of the wedding centerpieces featured a tablescape of pillar and floating candles seated in a bed of moss, curly willow, and loose greens accented withs succulents and garden roses. The wedding cake featured a design of small green succulents strategically placed on the cake.
