Think: moss-covered tablescapes, pampas grass arching overhead, gold candlesticks flickering at dusk… and a bride carrying the most gloriously wild bouquet we’ve ever seen. When Amanda and Jack set out to plan their September wedding at Woodend Sanctuary, they had a clear aesthetic in mind: art nouveau meets bohemian, with a heavy dose of nature. The result? A day that felt like stepping into an enchanted forest: lush, moody, and completely unforgettable.
The couple exchanged vows beneath a showstopping deconstructed arch in the tree-lined grove at Woodend. The design was a sweeping arrangement of moss, eucalyptus, olive leaf, and dramatic pampas grass, punctuated with Toffee roses and golden Aurelia spray roses. The whole thing was shaped to evoke a ring. Subtle? No. Stunning? Absolutely.
Amanda carried a loose, organic French hand-tied bouquet built from umbrella fern, seeded eucalyptus, and olive leaf, then layered with buttery yellow ranunculus, chamomile daisies, solidago, and trailing green amaranthus, all finished with ivory satin ribbon. Her seven bridesmaids each carried their own version in sage-banded bouquets packed with yarrow, millet, and feathered eucalyptus.
If the ceremony set the tone, the reception in the tent at Woodend fully delivered on it. The head table was the real wow moment: a continuous bed of moss running the full length of the table, interspersed with gold candelabra, glass cloches, and brown bottle vases holding loose stems of bronze cremon, solidago, Toffee roses, and chamomile. Bronze animal figurines tucked throughout the arrangement added an eccentric, bohemian twist that we are completely obsessed with.
Round guest tables were anchored by Sidney urns overflowing with moss, eucalyptus, fern, yellow ranunculus, and green coxcomb, each flanked by a triangle of glass-enclosed taper candles in gold candlesticks. Cocktail hour kept things simple and chic: single white iris stems in gold bud vases, an art nouveau nod that carried the whole design language through to the very last detail.
