Archer Hotel Brunch Wedding

Archer Hotel Brunch Wedding

Brunch weddings are great ways to have an alternative to a traditional night party with all the amazing food that comes with brunch!! Jessica and Thomas celebrated their nuptials at the Archer Hotel, former the Lorien Hotel & Spa, with an early brunch wedding that featured warm, playful summer flowers. Sunflowers featured heavily in everything from bouquets to the lovely rooftop ceremony arch to the centerpieces. Together with a travel theme that paid homage to common interest and how they met, the Archer Hotel brunch wedding was as sweet as it was sunny in disposition.

The day started with portraits in the courtyard areas at the front of the hotel. Joining with their wedding party, they posed for iconic Alexandria wedding portraits. We love how the traditional brick featured boldly in the backgrounds, a perfect complement to their sunny sunflowers. Jessica’s bouquet featured sunflowers, white roses, and touch of dusty miller foliage. The bridesmaids bouquets were simple sunflowers, finished with raffia to tie off the stems and complement the rustic vibe.

What is more inspirational than a rooftop ceremony! Surrounded on all sides with blue skies, fluffy clouds, and of course, their loving friends and family, the couple shared their vow in front of an elegant wedding arch decorated with a simple greenery garland and vibrant yellow sunflowers.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.

A night of mystery and masquerade — and the perfect way to fête the 10th anniversary of The Scout Guide Alexandria and the launch of Vol. 10! ✨

We loved adding our signature touch of floral drama to this year’s launch party at the Hotel Heron. From a moody and dramatic entrance piece to a flower-filled car, sculptural arrangements on cocktail tables and elevated bar arrangements casting feathered shadows and moody textures, this event let us play in a world of whimsy and wonder.

We’re proud to be part of a guide that champions small businesses and celebrates creativity in our community. Supporting local means investing in the makers, doers, and dreamers who make Alexandria vibrant — and The Scout Guide does just that, beautifully. Cheers to Vol. 10! Special thanks to Sarah and Claire for always being so supportive and encouraging.
