Stylish Covid Wedding at Darcy Hotel

Stylish Covid Wedding at Darcy Hotel

The Darcy Hotel on Scott Circle in downtown, Washington, DC is proximate to Dupont Circle and historic Logan Circle – and the site of Caitlin and Sean’s stylish Covid wedding last year. The space is very adaptable, with natural tones and large windows.

Preceded by a lovely ceremony at the Foundry United Methodist Church, Caitlin and Sean held their very intimate reception at the Darcy Hotel last fall. Like many a Covid wedding last year, they faced the challenges of distancing, masks and more. But never have we seen a challenge take such a stylish turn! You must see the bride’s mask!!

Stylish Covid Wedding Ceremony

Situated beside the Foundry’s garden, the ceremony decor was focused on two large urn design atop white pedestals, paired with garland gracing the railing on either side of the arched entrance to the sanctuary. Rather than have the nuptials inside, the couple opted to recite their vows outside. The palette was filled with a rich array of burgundy and blush tones accented with hints of deep blue viburnum berries.

Darcy Hotel Reception

The reception was held in the Logan Ballroom at the Darcy Hotel. Centered in the room was the couple’s sweetheart table, graced with a long and low design of garden roses, roses, dahlia, and eucalyptus. To maintain the intimacy of the event, the remaining tables featured richly textured, low designs in gold cube vases.

Caitlin and Sean’s stylish Covid wedding is testament to the fact that a wedding need not be large to be meaningful, elegant, beautiful or stylish. (But we still can’t wait for the big party this year.)

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
