We were at the Willard InterContinental this past weekend setting up for Mari`s bridal shower. Think pink, gardeny, everything spring.
The Crystal Room is always a lot of look. Those green marble columns, the chandeliers... and yet it`s so quintessentially DC! There`s something about that room that makes pink feel completely at home.
It took us straight back to Sophia & Daniel`s wedding ceremony in the same space. Pink baby`s breath, roses, the whole thing. Two totally different events, same magic. Pink and the Crystal Room? We`re convinced it`s a love story. 💚🌸

I love eavesdropping. 😜
While setting up for the new Georgetown Citibank, we overheard someone say, “This is the moment.” ❤️
And I couldn’t have said it better myself. Because when flowers are doing their job, they don’t just fill a space. They create a moment you can feel.

Meridian House is one of those venues that makes people fall in love the second they see it. The gardens, the historic rooms, the feeling that you`ve stumbled onto this beautiful hidden place in the middle of Washington. It is such a privilege to design there.
For Erica & Matt, the goal was to keep the flowers feeling like an eloquent dinner party. We filled the tables with hydrangea, stock, roses and spray roses, and lisianthus and lots and lots of candles so the rooms felt alive and welcoming the moment guests walked in. I remember stepping back once everything was set and thinking how light the whole space felt — like spring had simply decided to move inside for the evening.
And when Erica & Matt walked in and saw the room for the first time? The smiles said everything.
