Colleen and Chase’s wedding? Pure magic! Think fun, colorful florals, joyful vibes, and all the love you could possibly imagine. These two celebrated in style with a traditional ceremony at Holy Trinity Catholic Church followed by an unforgettable colorful wedding reception at the Westin Georgetown. From the bride’s show-stopping bouquet to the smilax grid backdrop at the reception (more on that later!), this wedding was a total dream for flower lovers and design enthusiasts alike.
The Westin Georgetown was the perfect venue for the celebration, where modern elegance met classic sophistication! The hotel offers an array of swoon-worthy spaces—think sleek ballrooms perfect for dancing the night away and a charming outdoor courtyard ideal for intimate moments and cocktail hours. The neutral tones throughout the venue gave us the perfect canvas to play with all the stunning, vibrant colors we brought into the design.
Colleen’s bouquet was packed with coral snapdragons, peonies, Sweet Eskimo roses, salmon sweet pea, light pink stock, and more—all topped off with sweet pops of pale blue tweedia. This lush mix created the perfect contrast to the bridesmaids’ neutral blooms, which stood out against their blue dresses in the most gorgeous way. And let’s not forget the ceremony itself—soft white satin ribbons adorned the pews for that simple, romantic touch we all love.
We went all out at the reception with colorful table centerpieces. A vibrant mix of coral roses, peach Juliet garden roses, light pink spray roses, white and peach stock, and touches of cream yarrow and blue delphinium filled clear compotes for the guest tables. Paired with gold candlesticks and pale blue, glass-enclosed taper candles, the vibe was modern elegance with a fresh twist. But the real showstopper? A crisscross grid of smilax foliage behind the sweetheart table that added a soft, romantic backdrop and made Colleen and Chase’s sweetheart table stand out in the best way.
And as if that wasn’t enough, the couple’s cake got its own floral moment too! A delicate cascade of wedding flowers trailed down the cake, tying everything together beautifully. From the first look to the last dance, Colleen and Chase’s wedding was all about joy, personality, and COLOR.
If you’re dreaming of a floral-filled Georgetown wedding or you’re on the hunt for the perfect vibrant DC wedding inspiration, this wedding has you covered. And let’s be real, who doesn’t love a pop of color with a side of modern elegance?
